Green Schools

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded our fifth Green Flag for Biodiversity in March 2020. Congratulations to Mrs. Farrell and Ms. Webb and the Green Schools' Committee for all their hard work.

Tidy Towns & Pride of Place Competitions:

The school was highly commended in the School Environmental Competition section of the Tidy Towns Competition. Prizes were presented at an award ceremony in the Seven Oaks Hotel on Wednesday 28th September 2016. The school was represented by Ms. Tully, who collected a trophy and €30 in prize money. Many thanks to Mrs. Farrell  and to all the Green Schools committee for all their hard work, to Mr. David Walker, our caretaker, and to all staff and pupils who work hard in order to keep our school clean and tidy. 


The school was awarded 1st prize in the School Environmental Competition section of the Tidy Towns Competition. Prizes were presented at an award ceremony in the Seven Oaks Hotel on the 6th October. The school was represented by  Rasna Begum, Ruth Phiri, Rachel Diyaolu, Alannah Murphy Tara Murphy, Michaela Kuhne, Jenna Conway, and their parents. We are delighted with this win, as this is our second year in a row to win 1st prize.

Carlow Pride of Place:

On the 29th October at a prize giving ceremony in Mount Wolseley, we heard the great news, that our school had won 1st prize in the schools’ category of this competition. We are delighted with this win, as this is our second year in a row to win 1st prize. The school was represented on the night by Ms. Tully.
