Classes from 2nd – 6th took part in the Scríobhleabhar project, organised by Kilkenny Education Centre. The pupils wrote their own stories as ‘Gaeilge’. The books were then distributed to pupils in another primary school and we received books from that school. The girls enjoyed reading these books and commenting on them. A number of our pupils were commended for their high standard of work. One of our pupils, Alannah Murphy, 3rd class, attended at Kilkenny Education Centre, on Thursday 30th January, where she met with Mr. Ruairí Quinn, Minister for Education & Skills. Alannah was asked a number of questions about her ‘leabhar’- ‘Siobhán Bhocht’. All of our girls really enjoyed the whole experience of ‘publishing’ their own books as Gaeilge.
