Music Generation

1.      5th & 6th classes took part in the Music Generation Choral Concert on Monday 22nd   May, in St. Mary’s Church of Ireland. The girls had a wonderful day rehearsing and performing their repertoire with Carlow National School on the day. We extend our thanks to their conductor Ms. Anita Mahon and their class teachers, Mrs. Tyndall, Ms. Mullins & Ms. Cronin.

1.      On Wednesday and Thursday, 24th May & 25th May respectively, out Senior Infants , Room 5. Showcased our Early Years Orff programme in the George Bernard Shaw Theatre. They performed two pieces. ‘Winter’ and ‘Summer’. We were all amazed to see how proficient the girls were in using the musical instruments – Orff xylophones, glockenspiels and metallaphones! We extend our thanks to their tutor, Ms. Ali Behan and their teacher Ms. Mc Donald. We were also delighted with the number of parents who attended the concerts, your support is greatly appreciated.

2.      On Wednesday and Thursday, 24th May & 25th May respectively, ten of our 4th class recorder pupils performed with pupils from three Co. Carlow schools in the George Bernard Shaw Theatre. They played three pieces and did themselves proud. We extend our thanks to their tutor, Ms. Clare O’ Dea and their teacher Ms. Coakley.
