Our debating team won the first round of their competition on Monday 26th January. They debated against a team from Muckalee NS. The girls, Rachel Diyaolu, Anita Thapa and Deborah Martins spoke very well, proposing the motion that ‘children should have mobile phones’. The girls participated in the second round of the debate today, Thursday 5th February, in Paulstown NS, where they argued that ‘People should keep pets’. Unfortunately, they lost the argument!
Well done to the team and to their ‘helpers’, Heather Fitzpatrick, Brianna Lupchian and Michaela Kuhne, who helped then research both topics. We wish Paulstown NS every success as they progress to the next round
