On Tuesday 20th September, members of the victorious Co. Carlow Camogie team visited our school with the Kay Mills Cup. This team became All Ireland Premier Junior champions when they beat Armagh in Croke Park on 11th September. Two members of the team, Mairéad and Kate spoke to 3rd – 6th classes about their experiences on being team members.
Kate took a range of questions from our girls, and told them how important sport is for their wellbeing. Our girls really enjoyed listening to the players’ messages about training hard from a very young age, the importance of team work, healthy eating, and the importance of making time for sport in their lives.
Congratulations to this team on their wonderful achievement!
